Katia Christodoulou was born in Palaikithro, Cyprus. He studied journalism at a college in Cyprus and photography in Athens. Since 1986 he has been working as a photojournalist.
From 2000 until 2023 she had been working as a partner for the international agency European Press Photo Agency and from 2005 until now he has been working at the Cyprus News Agency.
She took part in many missions to foreign countries, accompanying humanitarian-medical organizations.
Some of the missions are :
• Former Yugoslavia • Palestine (Gaza 1988/ 1998) • South Africa (Wild Animal Protection) • Sri Lanka (2004 – Tsunami) • Kenya 2007 • Haiti (2010 – after the great earthquake) • Madagascar 2011 • Ethiopia 2012 • Chios and Mytilini, Refugees from Turkey 2015 • Bangladesh Rohingya Refugees 2018 • Zimbabwe 2022 • Romania borders with Ukraine for refugees in 2022
She has taken part in various exhibitions and photography competitions where she was distinguished and awarded.
She has published the Photo Album “By the Hand of Attila” and participated in many photo albums.
She has covered for many years talks on the Cyprus issue, in Cyprus and abroad. She has also covered major issues in Cyprus such as the financial crisis and bail-out, the Covid-19 pandemic and many other important issues.
